Anytime as long as you are in a boat! Species specific questions like whats the best time to fish for walleye, trout, or bass often make for better and detalied info. I assume you tried to post this on another board and wound up on the boats page, if not you may want to try posting it in one of the fresh or salt water boards depending on type of info you are looking for.
