Looking for an antlerless area
#4
The dwr allots a certain amount of tags for the landowner to do as he pleases in return for them allowing the general public to access the private land either by a drawing or buying a tag outright. I think ther concept is a good idea but i think the landowners are getting away with murder. Deseret charges $15'000 for a trophy bull tag where as you can draw one for $280 for public land and the cwmu's sell out years in advance. From what i have seen and been told the cwmu's are catering to the people that pay for the tags instead of the public who the system was put in to place to help. As far as i am concerned i will not give my money to a cwmu operator. I will wait my whole life to draw a tag on a public area where the only ones benefiting are the f&g and myself. my .2[Sad] I hope you find some tags and fill the freezer. Good luck.
