Welcome to the board!<br><br>Sounds like you are starting out from scratch and if so, here are a few other suggestions to add to Jerry's.<br><br>(a) See if you can join a local fishing club and spend some time with local anglers first. This will give you a better feel for the techniques used in Tx. <br><br>(b) Then make decisions about what type of reel you want to use. Baitcaster's, while more accurate and flexible, also take a lot more time to learn and develop the skills.
