How Do You Use Side Planers?

In keeping things simple (and cheap) I'm going to try to modify and rig up an inline planer to my downrigger cable and use some medium tension on a Scotty screw adjust release off of the back of it. Hopefully I can keep the cable out of the water far enough to get adequate lateral distance, but sounds like I may need to add some height to my downrigger bar if not[/#ff0000][#ff0000]. Bring the camcorder, might end up on America's Funniest Videos yet! (Or busted for drugs!) [/#ff0000]
