Me and ssabshif went up to Pineview Friday, I've never been there but Nate (ssabshif) put us into some muskies, he knows the lake very well and just what to use. I was impressed. I couldn't have had a better first time trip. My first two casts produced two muskies, THAT'S RIGHT!!! [
]. My first cast and bam, I thought no way I'm just stuck in the weeds....but it pulled back. Reeled up and released it, second cast BAM! Another muskie. Nate boated them as well. One bit his lure in half and another one drew blood. He must have had 15 muskies follow his lure right to the boat throughout the day, some would get pissed and hit it, some would swim away. It was the neatest thing I've ever seen. Those muskies didn't care about us, just the lure in the water.
We also got into some smallmouth, we came across some sight fishing and Nate watched me go into psycho bass mode at the flip of a switch. I was talking to the fish while dragging my jig to it. I think I may get a little too passionate about the whole thing.
Water temps were high, some up to 70*, dropped off quick when the sun went down. All in all it was a perfect trip for my first Pineview experience, but not my last.
