Before you decide to go custom, I would recommend getting 1 rod in each weight in the 9', 9 1/2', and 10' rods. Play with all of them, 1 at a time and indescriminately. Then figure out which one feels the best and which one gives you the "Feeeeeeeeeeeeel"
Make a custom of the combination of the two.
You will then have 28 rods in your collection.
Then you can move on to the 11, 12, and 13 foot rods and do the same. That will bring your total to 56 rods.[cool]
