Hello Demolitron,
I have noticed the same thing lately. The lake turns over this time of year and the moss lets loose from the bottom of the lake and floats up. Thats is what i have been told. Also from the wash to sand island there is alot of silt in the water and other stuff like seaweed. If anyone knows more please post. because on Boulder Beach my graph seems to read ok.
As far as the bigger fish, they will start to come in as the water cools. The trout plants will start in mid November. That is when the big boys come in to eat. Like 5lbs to 25 lbs. Hope this helps. Right know try jigging spoons at sand island may hook up something large there.
