I don't know what large size strippers would be doing at Hemenway, but that might be interesting! [
] It is true that large stripers roam Lake Mead. I'm sure many are caught without any report. The largest striper I've caught at Lake Mead was 5.5 pounds on a Storm Wilded-Eye swim bait. Never have targeted the big ones.... always gone for volume instead. Maybe someone will pick up this post and advise you better than I can. Stripercraze would know where to go and what techniques to use. Consider Willow Beach and the river for the big cows.
Sounds like you purchased the right boat.The Trophy Walk Around 21' is great for all waters and types of fishing. Can't go wrong!
