[cool][#0000ff]If you are talking about plain leadheads, with no paint on them, there are several things that can oxidize the lead and cause the white "dandruff". The solvents in plastic baits and in many attractants can start the process. After that, just normal exposure to the atmosphere will keep it going.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There are a lot of metal polishes you can use to brighten them up again. A soak in acetone or even vinegar can help clean them up. But, be sure to rinse them and dry them well afterwards or they will turn nasty again.[/#0000ff]
