You can still use light spinning rods on the longer float rods and fly rods. They can give you the opportunity for bubble fly casting or light weight jig pitching.

Fly Goddess was right too about loading straight mono on a fly reel. I also do it on a larger mid arbor and on a float reel. You can get some super casts out of that technique.

I am working on a series of casting videos to put on Utube. They should be available within a few weeks.
