...I think tn2 said he has an aventa rod and he mentioned bringing it on one of our get togethers and let me test it out.. at least I think that is what he said..

I have held the Shimano float rod that Smallmouth has - well, not his, but one like it. (At one time I was thinking of taking up centerpinning.) He says it works for him as a fly rod so I'd bank on his assessment. That model (the Shimano)is available stateside for $59.95. It's probably comparable to the Aventa as far as I can tell.
