Rod Lengths Used Fishing From Pontoon Boat

Okay, now you all have me wanting to try my flyrod w/ one of my UL reels on it.

Since I am not all that sure how this setup will work, when I cast using the spinning reel, do I just cast like if I was using a spinning setup, or do I do more of a fly casting? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just don't know.

I have an 8'6", 5 wt fly rod. I think this should work for this type of setup w/ an UL spinning reel. I guess I'll need a casting bubble if I want to get any distance?
