A carp?

several years ago I was on a local lake trying to coerce a few trout to take my bait.. the water was clear near the shorline so I was able to see the trout easily... out of the corner of my eye I saw some movement in the water.. I turned and saw a huge cat fish ambling along.. as I watched this cat kept going into shallower water till it almost grounded itself on the shoreline.. then it just sat there and slowly turned over onto its back.. it scared the pedaddle out of me how it moved in and just seemed to ground itself into the shoreline.... then it turned back over and swam away a few feet.. and then did it all again.. it was this time I noticed a lot of spots all over its skin.. looked almost like mold... all up and down its body... the last time it turned over it was not able to right itself.. it was later that I found out that the "mold" was probably from people mishandling it and wiped the protective slime off of its skin... it was kind of to see ...
