Boise Area
#2
Brady: Welcome to the Boise area. Too many areas and opportunities to explain in detail. Check out the newspaper's Thursday Outdoor Idaho section if you haven't seen it yet. Gives much local information. All of the reservoirs and rivers are good at their particular times, i.e., Lucky Peak reservoir is great once you learn when, where, and how to fish it. Same with Arrowrock, Cascade, and C.J. Strike. Take a look at the Boise River system from the upper Boise to Anderson Ranch, South, North, and Middle Forks on through Arrowrock, Lucky Peak, and through the city. All can be productive at different times of the year. It just takes time and experimentation. I'm still waiting for decent boating weather and will begin Kokanee at Lucky Peak and Arrowrock within the month. Everything is late this year so peak times and conditions will be generally a month or so late. This time the last two years I was limiting out easily trolling for Kokanee and Trout at Lucky Peak. Good Luck!
