I've used the REI 100% stuff before in Alaska and it does work. A very little goes a long way! I had one of those little bottles for years but had to get rid of it because it gave my kids a rash. The down side is that you have to wash your hands good after applying or else anything that is plastic will start to melt in your hands. It also does a nice job of rapidly deteriorating mono.[
