I don't think the area matters as much as the depth. I don't know if you have been tubing or pontooning before. I fished from a tube for about 15 years before I bought a pontoon. I love being out of the water and casting and stripping are easier, but in the wind I always wish that I was back in my tube. Big black buggers worked the best for me yesterday. I caught about the same amount of fish on ones with flash and without. When stripping the fish wanted extra long pauses between 1 to 5 variable quick strips. Vary your strip and pause routine until you find the ticket. good luck and hold on tight.
