The way I look at it is . First to go to a show in Las Vegas it costs an arm and a leg. I do not like spending my money at the casino's anymore. If you go out to dinner with your better half it costs money.Any type of entertainment costs money and FUEL to get there. I would rather spend it on fishing!!!
] It also provides a food source that we use. And my cat goes crazy for raw stripers also. I just plan my trips now go and get shad and anchor up and bait fish. Too bad we can not recycle the fish waste into fuel to power our boat engines. I also go out at night now. I make it an all nighter to make the most of my time on the water. It is more peaceful at night anyway.
