Uglysticks are a good rod for the money as for the reel, shamano,Diawa. I have Penn Reels, but I hear they are owned by a chinese outfit and the quality has gone done now. Put on 20lb mono and you should be good to go for both fish. Don't forget the steel leader for blues.
