skeg repair
#4
I installed a SkegGard on my 175 merc outboard because I whacked the bottom out on Willard a year or two ago. This is an easy alternative to having your skeg professionally repaired and looks nice on your motor. This product comes with breakaway pins so if you contact the bottom they should break and avoid further damage to your lower unit. I have hit my skeg at times since when in a very shallow marina and it seems it would take a good impact to break those pins. I am not trying to convince you not to get your skeg repaired but this is a quick easy alternative and I would recommend this product. Sincerely John R [cool]
