If you google the lake you'll find a report on the water quality. This story is all over Salon.com which does lean to the left alot. Seems to be a small lake and could get polluted quick as it seems to be built up around it. Algae usually happens from all types of run off, fertilizers,sewage ect. This may have played a role long before Palin became known. I find it hard to believe that she would let it go so easily when it's in her front yard. Must be more to this story.
