[font "Garamond"][#008000][size 4]Hey there outlawed - now if you could tie flies that looked like those bugs then I would say you are in business. I would gather that placing the hook in the right position so that your lure would retrieve in a life like manner would be the most difficult feat that you would have to over come. If I was trying this task I would test the lure out in my pool, repositioning the hook until I found the correct setup. Don't have a pool, well any small body of water will do just fine. You wouldn't have to cast it out maybe just 10' or so that you can watch the action close up. What material are these insects made from? Boiling might compromise the integrity of material. i.e. It may fall apart during boiling or weaken it's structure and break easily if a fish strikes while missing the hook. I wouldn't consider adding a spoon at this time for that would make the rear end too heavy. Good luck - for nothing ventured is nothing gained. [/size][/#008000][/font]
