I have been an equal oppertunity presidential basher for as long as I can remember, "starting off with andrew jackson"
note I have given most of them my suport untill they have proven to me they no more belonged in office than I belong driving a space ship in to outer sapce.
Ok, there was one that I did not give the benifit of the doubt to, but hey, I had a lot to go on and I figured the apple didnt fall vary far from the tree... I was right about him.
I gave clinton and reagon the benifit of the doubt, I even suported them the first time around, but you could not get me to budge on thier second terms. It only took me one term to know weather or not they had the country or those who bought their way to the top seat intrest as a priority.
the killer part is the unions suported reagon/bush and clinton only to get their rist slit for their suport.
I saw this on the news, and I saw the repor to wich the vice president received. Two rongs do not make a right. Bush was no better either, One of the vets who happened to be a moderator here was susposed to be a guest of honor to receive an award from the president for the work he had done and contributions out of pocket to Bush's no child left behind program. Our member here was stiffed, and he had to drive to DC some 1200 miles one way. He received his award, but no one was there, not even rice or chaney.
Being a speaker at the american leagond is a social event, Yes a very important one at that, but not so important that it could not have been reschedualed to around memorial day.
He has a job to do, so for now I will give him some leway for the time being. he has dumped fresh money in the lap of every state in the union. This is something that the states has been deprived of since Reagon took office and continued by every president since. "except for cirtian pork belly projects"
How will rate this man? Just the same as I have rated every other president that I have lived though and those whose policies I have learned about.
If he can set this country on the right finicial recovery tract but misses a few social obligations along the way, I will be less critical of him than if he made all his social obligations and flubbed up on the major ones like economics, failing infristructures, and forgien affairs like the last 4 presidents have done.
for me, the jurry is still hearing evidence on this one....
