Which lb line to use ?

I would stay away from braid when i comes to fishing for walleye. Reason being is they can see really good. If i were you i would use 8 or 10lb mono or fluro. Fluro holds up really well in alot of structure and is very hard for the fish to see. But if you are just out trying walleye for the first time, a good quality mono like Gama will work fine.
