I went to Washington DC twice on school ventures. Once when I was 13 in 1988 and again when I was 17 in 1991. Both times our school was able to honor the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and both times we were able to meet the President of the United States. Of course in 1988 the POTUS was my hero Ronald Reagan and in 1991 it was George H.W. Bush.

Thank god I graduated High School and never had to go back and visit Clinton 'cause I would have refused to even acknowledge he was there.[]
