Southern California Saltwater
Report for June 10, 2003 (Tuesday)
Way Up North- Avlia
Patriot got 38 albies today
Up North- Channel Islands
Almost no boats got out! Catch was underwhelming!
LA Area- Catalina Island
The Legacy, Freedom(35),and Persuit(31)all got limits of White Sea Bass. Many boats at Catalina got WSB.
Further South- San Clemente
I will report when I get the information.
San Diego- Coronados
Calico, Sandbass and Barracuda made up most catches. No single species 100+ boats.
LA Local
Pierpoint got 69 Calico and 62 Barries but we caught a whole lot of shorts and plenty of fish were lost at the rail. Southern Cal did OK But...............
Long Beach Sportfishing really did the fish a job today The Victory got 257 Barracuda, The Native Sun got 200 Barries when you add together the AM and PM. The Phantom got 9 WSB and 3YT. The El Dorado got 13 WSB at Catalina.
Other boats than the above out near the Horseshoe didn't do nearly as well as 2 or 3 days ago.
On thing to notice is that the number of Sandbass being caught are starting to equal the number of Calicos. Could this mean the start of the Sandbass stirring to ready for the charge up the coast.
Going back out on the Pierpoint tomorrow!
