Lake Toho (Tohopekaliga)
Fishing Report
By: Captain Chuck Matthews
Professional Bass Guide
800-936-7398
http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com
September 08, 2001

Fishing on Lake Toho this week has been great. There are fish in open water as well as in the inside grass lines. Rattle traps, firetiger crank baits and Carolina rigs with a chartreuse
centipede worm are all doing well. Certain holes holding fish are busting the top water lures.

Very good areas are: Goblet’s Cove, the west side by the houses, in the hydrilla patches in open water. Also, the area by the locks has hydrilla holding fish at the entrance in open
water. Rattle traps are doing very good there. There are also a lot of fish feeding on bait fish in the grass on the inside grass lines. It is very important to watch for movement of
bass chasing bait . When you find fish movement, stay in that area and work them with flukes, worms, and 1/4 ounce rattle traps.

Spoons are a great lure for the big fish. The grass on the south side of the lake has a lot of fish. Also from Whaley’s going north, there are fish holding in the pads. Spinner baits
and flipping the pads could get you a big fish.

TIP: When using a spoon, glue a rattle on the inside of the spoon. Also a white or chartreuse rubber skirt on the back is a great way to go.

Remember to always put safety first.

Great fishing,

Captain Chuck Matthews
Pro Bass Guide
A Action Bass Guides Professional Services
http://www.centralfloridabassfishing.com

Captain Chuck Matthews 800-936-7398
