I don't get it. Lake Powell has millions of skinny stripers in it and no live bait allowed. You are allowed to net shad but can't fish with them unless they are dead.....or something like that. What the heck?
You know, the thing I really like about Lake Mead are the rules. No limit on stripers under 20", twenty limit on stripers over 20". Any live bait that is caught in Mead, shad or crawdads can be used. You can even use Wal-Mart goldfish. Any cut-bait is legal. Chumming is legal. The whole goal is remove as many stripers as possible. Sorry, I'm rambling. Anyway, I'm with you, why would the State of Utah ban live bait on waters like Powell?
