I really don't know which manufacturer makes the best fly rods. I have 6 of the brands listed and I like them all, although not all perform equally well. If you go by the numbers then Sage has it hands down. They hold 75 world records whereas the next brand is 24. As I see it if the rod feels good, casts to my expectations, handles fish well and is good looking then to me I have the best rod. That same rod in some ones else's hands might get low marks. As the old saying goes "to each his own".[/size][/#008000][/font]
