They are big and all, but it's still a diesel. I'd rather have a diesel on the back of the boat when i'm 50 miles offshore than a gas motor of equal power and mileage.
I know what you're saying though............
I'd be willing to bet that diesel technology will be the next thing that manufacturers will be looking to "shrink." THey are doing it now, but I bet it will soon be an aggressive market. Anglers want something with plenty of power and torque, along with reliability and range. Diesel is the answer.
