I'm not in favor that chubs be moved from Strawberry to Starvation, because for one reason it would be expensive and would only temporarily solve the problem. However, be aware that there have been chubs in Starvation for many years, and the reason that the DWR gillnetted the walleye out there for a couple years was to give the chubs a chance to survive (the average age of a chub out there is approximately20 years old!) so that they could reproduce and provide forage for the walleye, bass and brown trout. After they discovered that someone had illegally planted perch out there they abandoned the gillnetting because the perch would also be a predator for the newly hatched chubs, so it was useless to net the walleye any longer.
