What Does Strawberry Need?
#41
Jensen,

I think you make a good point on the cutts in Strawberry not doing the job. In my humble opinion, they just are not effective fish predators at any density. I know my brown trout comment was immediately dismissed, but I think they have potential. They would just need to be stocked at a much higher density to be effective. They are an effective predator and can handle warmer water and they get huge. I think the reason you will never see them widely used in reservoirs in Utah is they are just not as catchable as cutthroat or rainbows or splake and the Division has licenses to sell. But wouldn't lower catch rates spread the fish around to more anglers, and keep them in the water longer to get bigger?. I personally love a challenge, especially when it involves big, hard to catch fish. This is just my opinion, and is subject to change at a moments notice. LMAO.

Good Fishing, Kayote
