Hey, that's a good price on amazon, but I'm not sure they carried it when I bought mine. The amazon ratings are very high and include 2 guys that do the same as I do for their inflatable kayaks, no topping off. I also use a very accurate guage sometimes use to be sure everything is fine..
Thanks for your concern about the 28 amps, but the LVM motor looks even bigger so may draw even more amps. Most vehicles have at least 2 hours (14400 seconds) reserve capacity at 25 amps so 90 seconds is way below 1% of capacity drain. Also the LVM site cautions against using with your vehicle running due to the higher battery voltage when charging.
I don't see all this discussion going anywhere, so I'll just take my leave on this topic, but thanks for the feedback.
