Went to the North Marina today about 9:00 am and watched two guys catching pretty loaded stringers of big, nice crappie. Also watched about 12 other guys and me get skunked completely. Not a bite. I swear, I wish, even after the fact, there was a magic mirror to tell me what I was doing wrong.
To make myself feel better, I went up toward Mantua and hit that tiny creek that runs through the Box Elder campground, caught a few little trout in 6-10" of water using stealth tactics and worms o drag them out of log jams, losing 2 hooks to snags for every catch. One little brown about 11" had just spectacular colors. His red dots almost looked fake.
