Greetings Steve

here is a pic

<img src="http://www.shimanofishing.com/spinning/images/sr2000rd.jpg"

Seems like they only go up to the 4000 which supports up to 12lb test 160 yards. Would be interesting to see if they could build a bigger one for bigger game fish. They are really sweet and while I haven't tried any of the models that are more expensive than it, I haven't really found the need to yet. Although the Stella looks particularly promising.

The stella model

<IMG SRC="http://www.shimanofishing.com/spinning/images/stl2500f.jpg"

goes up to model number 16000 which has 13 yes 13 ball bearings and holds up to these quanities of line weight...12/660;16/440;20/350. Not to mention it also has teh addition of another Rear ball bearing as well.

About the only bad thing I can see is that it doesn't have the double paddle that I have come to really like. Now maybe if they start building a few like that, I would buy them...hmmm. might be something to talk to them about. Once you try a double handle spinning reel, everything else just feels different and out of whack. That extra handle is remarkable.

Let me know what you think.

keep those lines wet

Daniel C. Nielsen
http://www.nebraskafishing.com/index.html
