Greetings,
My name is Chris Crookshanks and I am a fisheries biologist with the Nevada Department of Wildlife. I am stationed in Ely and have management responsibility for Comins Lake. I have been the fisheries biologist here in Ely for more than 12 years. I decided to join and post here to try and set the record straight. While reading through this thread, I was amazed at the number of gross inaccuracies and, in some cases, outright lies that have been stated here.
As a public servant, it is my job to be open and honest in all courses of my duties. I have always had an open door policy throughout my career. If any member of the public has any questions whatsoever regarding the past, present, or future management of the Comins Lake fishery, I welcome them. I would be more than happy to discuss any issues and answer any questions anyone might have. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions, comments, or suggestions regarding Comins Lake or any other White Pine County fisheries.
I did not come here to try and win an argument with any internet "tough guys." For that reason, I will not post here any more. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you're interested in the facts at hand. I'd be delighted to share my data and reports with anyone interested.
I can be reached at:
1218 N. Alpha St.
Ely, NV 89315
(775)289-1655 ext. 25

I sincerely thank you all in your interest in Comins Lake as well as other White Pine County fisheries and I sincerely thank you for your time.
