Biggest catch YET???

This discussion reminds me of an experience I had in Idaho on The Snake River. The ramps in the area I fish are the steepest ramps I have ever used. They are also misleading because the ramp that one can sees is not steep at all; however, once it disappears under water it drops quickly. Compound this with the fact that moss is always growing on the ramp so tire traction can be an issue. One trip up there a guy had a boat that he had designed to search for items that had fallen off of boats at the end of the ramps. I wish that I would have looked at his boat more closely but he said that he had some kind of suction device to remove some silt, an underwater camera and devices designed exclusively to retrive fishing rods, outboards and everything else that regularly fell off of unsuspecting boats. He said the biggest problem he faced was that items got silted in so quickly and as a result disappeared on the bottom. Interestingly, he also said that sometimes he had to quit searching for awhile because the sturgeon would not move from the area he was trying to search.
