So tonight I made some more progress:
Got one of the cutting/welding templates laid out and cut out:

And now I'm working on making the valve panels:

You can see my IR pyrometer in the above photo. I'm using it to monitor and check weld temps to make sure I'm putting enough heat into them...

It was fun getting back out in the shop and firing up the bandsaw again after so long. It's been a while since the tools have been run up in anger. It's just too bad there's no welding involved with this project... Guess the pram will take care of that Jones.
I have one more cutting/welding template to lay out and cut and then hopefully I can get going on an actual real-deal part this weekend.
