SouthernCalifornia Saltwater Report 8/20-26
#6

Hey there guys,

Southern California Saltwater

Report for August 25, 2003 (Monday)

Lots of boats out catching lots of fish. From Catalina to San Diego species being caught include: Bass, Barracuda, Yellowtail, YFT, BFT, Dorado, Albacore, Skipjack, Mako Shark and even sightings of billfish.

Way Up North- Avila
Some albies being caught out of Chris's

Up North- Channel Islands
Lots of different species caught with Rockfish taking the spotlight

LA Area- Catalina Island
I was out there today and our boat got bass, barries, and 18 yellowtail. Sea Spray, Victory, Sea Angler, and the Premier were catching them up north of Avalon

Further South- San Clemente
With all the numbers I'm sure the South Coast boats are hittng behing Clemente.

San Diego- Local and Offshore
Offshore fishing outstanding with the local catch also good with yellows, bass and barries making a very nice mix.

LA Local
The Sand Bass fishing was a bit slow compared to the previous 2 weeks with the South Coast boats doing better. ie Davey's, Dana's Wharf and Newport.
