Carrying weapons while fishing

I usually don't carry while fishing, but when steelhead fishing I can almost guarantee that I have a gun in my rig at least. I did get a CCW permit this last year d/t the questionability of my primary knife that I carry daily, but it also covers me legally in that aspect if I choose to wear my pistol fishing, hiking, or any other time. As for behavior while packing I feel the moment you pick that gun on, you accept the task to be responsible with it. That includes not being impaired, or using it to intimidate/make a point in some social situation. True asocial violent situations are rare, but they do occur, and should they I would have no problem using a gun or any other weapon in that case.
