it sounds to me that your throwing it right in there mouth or hitting them in the head lol slow down your retrieve a little bit and or add a little twitch to the presentation change it up a little bit and do what feels comfy and catches fish i mix it up when throwing t rigs or jig heads i will pick the rod tip up then let it back down then i will bump it a couple times and just keep repeating the process i hope this helps you...
