Hi guys,
Have any of you tried cutting off the front section off, all the way up to the belly of your typical flyline?
I was told it improve the shooting capability of the line, it become a shooting head....it greatly improve the ability to overturn the leader better with heavier fly. What I am trying to overcome mostly is the heavy winds rather than the heavy fly. Is this a cure to overcoming fly fishing on windy conditions.
Or should I just buy a shooting head and that is all I need. Do I miss out the stealth landing of a fly line without a front taper?
Your comments are most welcome..
