New to site from Cambria County

I took my 5 yr old son to Wilmore yesterday for some crappie fishin from a canoe and forgot to bring an anchor and the wind was bad so needless to say I spent about 2 hrs getting my portable fishfinder modified and our stuff packed along with extra clothes for the boy and got very frustrated and ended up fishing from the bank anyhow. Top water temp is at 40 degrees but much colder than that out of the water. Ha ha.. We fished the stump club end with no luck yesterday and not many others had any luck either. I was told that they were getting them the other week when we had warmer weather. Think Ill wait for then till I take the canoe back there...with an anchor next time cause i woke up soar as hell today. WOW!! There is so much garbage on the bank and in the water from inconsiderate people that it makes me wanna puke!! I picked up a bag full before i left but there is alot more there!! Im gonna take some 55 gal drums for garbage cans and maybe ppl can pick up some of their junk!!! Or probably leave it for reel fisherman to do. Sorry.. needed to vent a bit[fishon]
