If this is the problem you need a Whale Tail or something like it to bolt on your cavitation plate on the lower end of your motor . It will force the nose down and bring you up on plane . It will help to play with the trim of your motor to get the right plane . 8 HP should be enough power to get you on a plane . There are a lot of factors that come into play .
