The sport fisheries for rockfish (Sebastes sp.), [url "http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mrd/status/lingcod.pdf"][#ff0000]lingcod[/#ff0000][/url] (Ophiodon elongatus), ocean whitefish (Caulolatilus princeps), [url "http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mrd/status/cabezon.pdf"][#ff0000]cabezon[/#ff0000][/url] (Scorpaenichthys marmoratus) and rock and [url "http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mrd/status/kelp_greenling.pdf"][#ff0000]kelp greenlings[/#ff0000][/url] (Hexagrammos superciliosus and H. decagrammus are open in waters out to 180 feet (30 fathoms) in depth from July 1 - Dec. 31, 2003.

Salmon
The sport fishery for [url "http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mrd/status/pacific_salmon.pdf"][#ff0000]salmon[/#ff0000][/url] from Pigeon Point to the U.S.-Mexico Border is open through September 28, 2003. The daily bag and possession limit is two fish per person, per day. Minimum size limit: 24 inches total length through April 30, 20 inches total length from May 1 through September 28.
Coho salmon and steelhead trout may not be retained.

White Seabass
The sport fishery for [url "http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mrd/status/white_seabass.pdf"][#ff0000]white seabass[/#ff0000][/url] (Atractoscion nobilis) remains open year round. The daily bag and possession limit is three fish except that only one fish may be taken in waters south of Point Conception between March 15 and June 15. The minimum size limit is 28 inches total length or 20 ½ inches alternate length.
California Sheephead
The sport fishery for [url "http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mrd/status/ca_sheephead.pdf"][#ff0000]California sheephead[/#ff0000][/url] (Semicossyphus pulcher) will be open all year, or until the annual harvest quota is met or is projected to be met, prior to the end of the year, at which time the fishery will close. The daily bag and possession limit is 5 fish with a minimum total length of 12 inches.
Surfperch
The sport fishery for [url "http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mrd/status/surfperches.pdf"][#ff0000]surfperch[/#ff0000][/url] (family Embiotocidae) remains open all year. The daily bag and possession limit is 5 fish in combination of all species except shiner surfperch, which have a separate bag limit of 20 fish. Redtail surfperch (Amphistichus rhodoterus) have a minimum size limit of 10 1/2 inches total length.
California Grunion
