[#0000ff]A good way to know if you are reeling it on wrong is to stop after a few turns and give ti some slack. If it kinks up or boils off the spool you need to turn the line spool over and reel the line on from the other side.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Possibly the best fix after you have spooled up your line is to get out in a boat and let all the line off your reel behind the boat. Then hold it between your fingers as you reel it back in. That will put it on the spool under tension and take out all the twists. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]You can do the same thing by backing up across a big lawn in the park...with no hooks or anything on the end of the line. You can have somebody hold the end until you are ready to start reeling and then respool to take out the twists.[/#0000ff][/quote]
