I tried plenty of flouros, monos, copolymers, braids, etc. TD introduced Silver Thread Excalibur to me and another BFT'er BigFishTaco a while back. We broke down and started using it and haven't looked back. I used 4# for ice fishing and on my ultralight rig, 6# on everything else. A big male cat I caught last year from my tube was caught on 4# excalibur (dang thing ate my jig while fishing for gills!). No breakages. The only problem is trying to find the 4# in stores...
