Ugh! Pole Snapped!!!

pic 51 is a 5 lb fish on 4lb fireline,I normally fight them pound per pound but this guy even had a weight advantage on me.even my snoopy rod can handle big fish,you must be doing something wrong,I even caught a 13lb carp with scooby.Take your time,get in a boat and follow him around the stumps if you have to,but don't give up on light action rods,its more sportmanlike,plus you give the fish a chance to getaway,its all about the battle,thats what I enjoy most,I even give them a slight advantage sometimes.I could of landed a 6 lber,but kept tryng,with my pen rod,lost him,I was going for a prize they advertise for the pen rod ,anyfish over 5lb.100,or 200 dollar prize,and 2000,for any record species.If you want to keep fish to eat I understand,use heavytackle,but for good kicks,lightaction is the way to go,I fished med,action most my life,lighter action is so much fun,good for adrenaline junkies,make sure your doctor says its ok on your heart first,these light action rods are not for the week.How bout these icefishermen and their light tackle,they land big fish too,I guess we all can't be winners. .....The weaker your rod the stronger it makes you....Paulpro....Can anyone help out this man by posting some nice bass on light action,he needs all the help he can getman,your just going to spend more money.Rods are allways going to break, one way or another.
