So-So at the South Marina
#23
[cool][#0000ff]I guess that my title made my trip seem a bit slow...and I come off as being a bit jaded. Not so. I am properly appreciative of every fish I catch...and every fishing trip I get to make. Doesn't really matter what kind of fish...how many...or how big. If it's fishin' I'm good widdat.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have definitely had worse trips on Willard. But I have also had some wide open trips on all species. Those make ya happy and help make up for the other kind.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]My main goal yesterday was to get the newbie tooner into some catfish. Mission accomplished. My other goal was to get a feel for the water levels and water temps. Wiperholics seldom report on those issues. If it ain't boils it ain't worth mentionin'. But those things are important to bank tanglers and tubin' types because they affect all fishing...for all species. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Just getting into one of my favorite times of year on Willard. As the fall cooling cycle drops the water temps it gets a lot easier to find and catch whatever species you might wanna chase. A five species day in October is not uncommon...with some of the largest fish of the year of each species. Bring it on.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]My big problem is that the fishing on my other favorite fishin' holes is also getting better. Makes a poor old man shed big fishy tears tryin' to decide which way to point my tube. Glad I don't have blood pressure problems...YET.[/#0000ff]
