Several years ago I heard there where fish in there below Yuba. I think they come from the reservoir for the most part. Now under Utah law it's not legal for the public to fish there but that might possible change. I don't think you're responsible for what happens on the river normally as it's considered a public waterway. Not sure if the new law that seized public waterways and effectively made them private changes that. Prevent stealing? Move to rural Alaska where the most anyone seems to steal is a case of beer. Dogs that are highly protective of house and family works for me so far in Utah. Good luck on that if you're not always there. I'd seriously ask to walk/ wade and even fish that stretch of river before making an offer to see what fish are there now. I think before I was told mainly trout but you'd think a few perch or walleye wouldn't be out of the question.
