Electric motor on an Outlaw Rampage?
#12
MajBob, how long the motor will run on a battery also depend on the motor. If you go with an ENDURA, it will wear down the battery quicker than my Maxxum, but the Maxxum is about twice as much as the Endura.
I can run mine on 25% off and on for 3 days...probably longer.
Battery, I say go with a 27. It is the best. Last longer.
The reason for the deck on mine, at first I hauled my wiener dog with me, and with the battery I need the extra space of the deck. Plus, it was easy moun for my rods and transducer for my sonar.
In this picture, this is an Endura 30 (without the head). Not how far down you will have to drop this to clear the boat (going with the assumption, you plan on turning the head of the motor 180 degrees so that the handle is pointing the same direction as the prop so it PULLS you, you do not want to be pushed as that will wear down a battery)
You need at least a 36" shaft to clear the boat bottom plus be able to reach it.

and as far as the deck once again

Without the motor and battery, my pup is snug as a bug

Now, did you get the 10'6" Rampage or the 9' Renegade?
